And so, perfectly ensconced -ensconced?- in her new life as a public detective, hawkeye lived happily ever after in California, far away from New York jerks and needy abusive black holes of crippled emotions. The end. Oh, and her snooty stupid cat

Rewatching LotR with queerwatson and I was reminded of this weird thing my sister, anzaroot, and I made way back when (like more than a decade ago).

I’d apologize for the bad photoshop, but I’m pretty sure that’s the charm of this.

I thought I loved the guy before BiteCon was even an idea.  I have such a deep and abiding love for Coach that it’s actually kind of pathetic.

And then I thought I couldn’t love him more when I saw his panel this afternoon and he answered every question with a joke and sincerity, flipping back and forth between humor and honesty and passion, telling people that money means absolutely nothing if you’re not happy with your life.  That nothing is worth more than your happiness.  And that, even compared to Orny, Squid is a very weird name that always warrants an explanation.

At the last minute I decided to do a meet and greet, and my love for Orny  grew by a thousand.  He took the time to really get to know us, to understand fandom culture in a way that a lot of people wouldn’t.  He sat with us and he listened, really listened to what we had to say, and I think he asked us more questions about what goes on on our side of the fence than we asked about his.  When I thanked him for saying what he did about finding your passion in life, he looked me right in the eye when he responded, and added that I should never listen to what anyone has to say because I’m in complete control of my own happiness.

He talked to us like we were people, real human beings, and he was so interested in what we had to say.  I mean, I introduced the guy to Welcome to Night Vale, and that is something I’m selfishly proud of.  This small group really learned a lot about each other.  I think Orny better understands where we’re coming from now, and we better understand what Orny is all about.  That he’d rather put out a product that is genuine, work that touches people, that’s honest, something that’s completely different from what’s currently being advertised, rather than make a lot of money.  He wants to do something good, and I think that’s pretty awesome.

Orny will be one of my favorite people for the rest of my life.  If anyone ever has the chance to meet him (in a non-creepy way, apparently screaming in a mall is really uncomfortable for some people), I highly suggest you do it.

My day-to-day life is a constant battle between tyler hoechlin and dylan o’brien to see who is ruining my life the most.

You might have seen it teased a few places around the internet but here’s our official announcement.

We contacted a few of our favorite artists and they each agreed to create an original piece for us to use on our badges. We gave them each a color scheme and these are the beautiful finished products they sent back to us. We are so excited to share with you all the BiteCon 2014 badge art!

  • Daunt was given the color red and created a beautiful Alpha pass.
  • Jade was given blue and our Beta pass it came out fantastic.
  • Cali had yellow and she did the cutest sleepover Wolf Pack pass.
  • Aidi had purple and created our super cool Volunteer and Staff badges.
  • Kendra was given green and made the most adorable Executive Staff badge art.

It’s so cool to look at them compiled together and see everyone’s different styles and talents. It blows us away!

Thank you again to the artists for their time and efforts creating these art pieces for us! We appreciate it so much!
